We’re having stunning mornings for fishing right here at Amelia Island, Florida. Right this moment I met Mike McClane and his granddaughter Gabby up on the Eagans Creek boat ramp and we headed out of the creek with a dwell nicely stuffed with mud minnows (no dwell shrimp at any bait store). We ran over to the skin of Tiger Island, fished some flooded marsh grass simply because the tide had began out, and had good nibbles, however no takers.
We bounced over to fish a big creek mouth and BOOM! Abby had a hookup. She performed the fish completely and shortly landed a pleasant keeper sized Seatrout. From then on it was Trout chew after Trout chew. Each Mike and Gabby took turns reeling in fish and though there wasn’t an entire lot of measurement to them, they had been enjoyable to catch. Whereas we had been fishing we had been handled to some manatee sightings, lolling round simply 20 ft away.
We ran out and round and as much as the Jolley River and all the way in which to Snook Creek, fished it completely, however had no actual bites.
Our closing cease was again on the mouth of Jolley. Working a now uncovered oyster mattress, the anglers had been tossing there float rigs and minnows up close to the shore they usually started to get Redfish. One after the opposite. Some minnows caught three fish. They did not have an entire lot of measurement to them both, however they had been enjoyable to catch, too. Switchign to jigs, lastly, Mike had an odd chew and he reeled in a keeper sized Flounder. Gabby added a Croaker they usually wrapped up the day catching feisty Redfish. And with that, we referred to as it a day, one other nice one to be fishing right here at Amelia Island, Florida.
