Norway-based Greig Seafarms needs to construct a large open-pen salmon farm, with 7 million fish, in Placentia Bay, on the southeast coast of the island of Newfoundland. And the province gave them a serving to hand, by taking a cross on conducting an environmental evaluation of the challenge. With 19 wild salmon rivers related to the bay, the Atlantic Salmon Federation is deeply involved.
On this episode of Blue Fish Radio, Lawrence Gunther explores the problem, and the way we are able to stability environmental and financial objectives.
