Rep. Rob Bishop (R-Utah) just lately shepherded 5 payments out of the Pure Assets Committee he chairs that may dismantle the regulation piece by piece. Many Republicans on the panel say the proposals are vital adjustments that may modernize the 1973 regulation. Democrats and conservationists say the payments would whittle away the regulation’s capability to avoid wasting wildlife from extinction.
