GM salmon can breed with wild fish and move on genes

Scientists from Canada have discovered that transgenic Atlantic salmon can cross-breed with a carefully associated species – the brown trout. The fish, which have been engineered with additional genes to make them develop extra shortly, move on this trait to the hybrid offspring.

The biotech firm AquaBounty, which created the salmon, stated any dangers have been negligible because the fish they have been producing have been all feminine, sterile and can be saved in tanks on land.

Isn’t that the identical factor they stated about these dinosaurs in Jurrasic Park?
