It’s maligned in Australia but when some easy guidelines are noticed, chicken feeding is a good way to attach with the wild world
- Vote within the Australian chicken of the 12 months ballot 2017
There’s a sulphur-crested cockatoo that visits my balcony every day. She lives in a hole tree close by, and day-after-day at round 7.30am, she flutters as much as the railing outdoors the lounge home windows of my third-floor house. She lets out a well mannered, low croak to let me know she’s there, and I come out and provides her a handful of birdseed.
Interacting with birds is basically good for us, mentally and bodily.
