The Montana Division of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks has recognized the unique location of two walleye that have been found in Swan Lake in October 2015.
FWP biologists caught the walleye in Swan Lake throughout a gill-net operation. It marked the primary time the species was found within the lake and raised considerations concerning the unlawful introduction of yet one more non-native fish in Montana’s waters.
A reward as much as $35,250 is on the market for data resulting in the conviction of whoever is liable for the unlawful introduction. The state of Montana affords rewards as much as $15,250 for details about unlawful fish introductions. Montana Trout Limitless has pledged a reward of $20,000 for a tip that ends in the conviction of the person or people liable for illegally introducing the walleye into Swan Lake.
